CORA MABEL EDWARDS
A funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000, in Community Christian Church in McMinnville, Oregon for Mabel C. Kuykendall, who died Jan. 11 at age 103. Mrs. Kuykendall was born Feb. 17, 1896, in Beyer, Pa., and moved to Dayton when she was 8. She attended nursing school in Stockton, Calif., and then lived in Yamhill, Newberg and McMinnville, settling again in Yamhill in 1928. She was a homemaker and a member of Community Christian Church in McMinnville. In 1919, she married Thomas H. Gibson; he died in 1925. She married Percy Cane in 1928; he died in 1961. In 1962, she married Charles Kuykendall; he died in 1980.
Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Kuykendall of McMinnville and Carol Jean Shaw of Lake Oswego; son, Tom Gibson of Hanson, Idaho; stepson, Bill Cane of Redding, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Private interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in McMinnville. The family suggests remembrances to her church.
